This easy sandwich bread is beginner friendly, and the perfect bread for toast and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. You will have a hard time buying store bread after seeing how simple and delicious this recipe is!

DirectionsCombine the warm water and honey in the bowl of a stand mixer and stir until the honey is dissolved.
Add the active dry yeast and stir. Let sit 10-15 minutes until foamy.
Add the melted butter, egg and salt and stir with the dough hook until combined.
Continue kneading on low (I use setting 2 on my Kitchen Aid mixer) and add the flour one cup at a time. Once combined, knead for 5-7 minutes. Dough should be slightly sticky when touched.
Lightly grease a bowl with oil (I use avocado oil) and transfer dough into the bowl. Turn dough over to coat all sides.
Cover with a tea towel and let rise for an hour. Dough should double in size.
Sprinkle flour over counter top. Gently punch down the dough and place on counter top. Divide in half.
Take each loaf and roll it out to a rectangle and roll it into a log (width around 8 inches)
Place dough seam side down into two lightly buttered 8.5x4.5 bread pans.
Cover with tea towel and let rise 40 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Loaves should be golden brown on top when finished.
Remove from pans and place on a cooling rack. Take a stick of butter over the tops to melt. Let cool fully before slicing.
